If a violation is detected during our inspections, penalties previously stipulated in the contract will be imposed. Examples of violations include situations where a tannery employee is not wearing gloves. In such cases, the producer must pay a fine of €75 per person who violated the agreement. If a child under the age of 15 is seen working at a production site, the producer must pay a penalty of €2,000. In addition, we will suspend our orders from this producer for two months. We also want to encourage our competitors to monitor their production in various ways so that problems are truly resolved and not merely shifted elsewhere.
